David Tennison

Doctor of Chiropractic

GCC Registered Member. 

David’s path to chiropractic was unusual to say the least!

As a former Royal Marine commando serving operationally in Afghanistan, Iraq and Northern Ireland, David learnt the importance of using inner resources and the mind to get the best performance from himself and those around him.

After leaving the military for civilian life, David began taking a keen interest in biomechanics, posture and core fitness.  During this time he began training a consultant rheumatologist, who quickly discovered David’s natural talent for spotting postural abnormalities and correcting them, and so began referring her patients to him.

This lead to working within the NHS as an Exercise Referral Specialist, which involved coaching patients on lifestyle and working closely with GP’s.  This lead on to discovering chiropractic!

David entered the chiropractic profession with a desire to change lives in a meaningful way and set about learning  a variety of techniques and lifestyle modifications to share with his patients, and continues to attend chiropractic conferences and seminars to discover new developments in this field.

There is no patient that would not benefit from working with David to improve any aspect of their  spine and health in general, since the nervous system is housed in the moving bones of the spinal column and controls and coordinates virtually every cell, tissue, muscle, gland, organ and system of the entire body!

Knowledge, life experience and clinical practice has shaped David into the chiropractor we experience today, providing life changing chiropractic care and sharing powerful strategies for long term change and happiness.

David is a blue belt in Brazilian Jujitsu under Ivam Marcel and competes regularly and also enjoys watching a good game of rugby!  He is also a keen chess player and is fond of the Sicilian defence.

David found that helping others brings a certain vitality into his life and from this experience he began a life-long love affair with the natural healing art, science and philosophy of Chiropractic –  changing lives in an extraordinary way.

And so it is with great pleasure we introduce Dr David Tennison to you today!

Julie Hamilton

Energy Healer

Julie has over 25 years experience as a Healer and Therapist, 16 years of which were spent in the mountains of Northern Thailand and 6 years in New Zealand.She enjoys skiing, dancing, meditation and yoga.

Julie is passionate about assisting others to become more balanced, aware and empowered, so that they can start to lead a more stress free life. Her aim is to reach and support as many people as possible so that they can change their lives in a positive and powerful way.

Julie originally attended the clinic as David’s chiropractic patient. They soon discovered they had similar visions, goals and core values so she became a part of the Back Doctor Team.

Krasi Nikolov

Qualified Massage Therapist & Reflexologist

Kay was educated and graduated in Bulgaria and has worked as a Sports Massage Therapist for the last seven years.  Two years ago, Kay decided that he wanted to expand his knowledge of massage and combine it with his love of change and culture, and his other great love of food!  So, Kay came to the UK.

Kay loves music and dance, and this is where his interest of massage began and his belief that everyone can feel the benefit of massage, whether it is to recover from injury or just to relax after an intensive period in your personal life.  In fact, massage can help reduce blood pressure as it helps the body return to its natural rest digest state, and can also give a physical, mental and emotional boost.

As we are all unique human beings, Kay will tailor each massage session to each person’s requirements, using his knowledge of sports massage, deep tissue massage and yoga.  Before the massage session, Kay will talk to you about any health issues, injuries and past operations you may have.  With that information he will be able to set some targets for your initial massage and set targets for follow-on massage sessions so that you can achieve the best benefit and wellbeing for you.

Kay’s interest in massage means that he is always endeavouring to improve his knowledge as to how massage can improve people’s lives.

Niti

Ayurvedic Consultant

Niti began her journey in health while studying Nutrition, Media & Communication at Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Her education and research prompted her to look beyond conventional western nutrition.

A one-hour seminar on Ayurvedic Nutrition was a pivotal moment in her life. The basic principles of Ayurveda were so logical and practical that Niti felt the need to study further. After graduating from university, Niti travelled to India and studied at the world renowned Vaidyagrama – an Ayurvedic healing village in South India. Here she learnt the basic concepts of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Nutrition under the guidance of Dr Ramdas.

Back home in Australia, Niti joined Back2Health – one of the leading Ayurvedic clinics in Brisbane. She soon started living her passion of Ayurveda through workshops, open days, expos, cooking demonstrations – and helping people adopt Ayurveda into their own lives. Over a number of years at Back2Health, Niti invested her time in developing theoretical and practical knowledge of Ayurvedic treatments under the the tutelage of Jo Formosa (co-founder of Health Dynamics) – and eventually serving and working with her own clients. This brought Niti into her element – connecting with clients through Ayurvedic massage and dietary consults.

Niti has taken her wisdom, passion and vision with her and is sharing that in her new home, England. With her knowledge of Ayurveda and helping to heal people through restorative Ayurvedic therapies – she will assist you to bring Ayurveda into your life through massage and dietary/lifestyle recommendations.
